What are verbs?

What are verbs?

verb = action

tense = time

1) present tense verbs -- happening now 

• I walk everyday.

2) past tense verbs -- already happened

• I walked to the mall.

3) future tense verbs -- will happen in the future

• I will walk to bank.

How to tell time in English?

What time is it?

1) Use "o'clock"for the full hour

 3:00 --It is 3 o’clock

2) For times that fall between x:00 and x:30, we use the word "past"

6:15 -- It is a quarter past six.
2:30 --It is half past two.

3) For times that fall between x:30 and the next full hour, we use the word "to"

7:40 --It is twenty to seven.
4:45 --It is a quarter to five.
